John Overholt, Curator of the Donald and Mary Hyde Collection of Dr. Samuel Johnson and of Early Modern Books and Manuscripts at Houghton Library, published his article “Five Theses on the Future of Special Collections” in RBM: A Journal of Rare Books, Manuscripts and Cultural Heritage.

Overholt has worked for the Harvard Library since 2004. He holds a BA in political science from Washington University in St. Louis and an MSLIS from the University of Texas at Austin.

Evelyn Santana-Nola, a staff assistant in Preservation, Conservation & Digital Imaging, was awarded a certificate for completing the Foundations course of the Research Excellence in Administration (REACH) program, presented by the University Research Administration Training Team (URATT). 

Santana-Nola has been with the Harvard Library for six years. She holds an associate’s degree in accounting from Bay State College.

Ann Whiteside, librarian and assistant dean for information resources at the Harvard Graduate School of Design’s Frances Loeb Library, recently published her article “Collaboration at Its Best: How Dozens of Digital Humanists Helped a Learned Society Create Three Online Academic Resources in Four Years" in Visual Resources: An International Journal of Documentation

Whiteside has held her current position at the Loeb Libary for three and a half years, as well as serving as the head of Affinity Group 4 (Arts, Design and Music) for one and a half years. She was previously head of Rotch Library of Architecture and Planning at MIT and director of the Fiske Kimball Fine Arts Library at the University of Virginia. She holds an MLS from Simmons and a BA from Boston College.
