Snow begins late tonight with heaviest snow Thursday night into early Friday. An inch or two is possible for the Thursday morning commute, especially north of the Mass Pike, with 2-5” accumulation by late Thursday. By the Friday morning commute, we can expect 6-10” of widespread snow accumulation with areas in eastern Massachusetts receiving 10-14” of snow. The snow will have relatively low water content and will be of a fluffy consistency.

December 20, 2013—The sea of information available to scholars and researchers can seem impossibly vast. But, with the help of a new grant, Cornell University Library, in collaboration with the Harvard Library Innovation Lab and Stanford University Libraries, aims to make that sea easier to navigate.
The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation awarded a nearly $1 million, two-year grant to Cornell to support an investigation using Linked Data and the Semantic Web to improve discovery and access of scholarly information by the three libraries.

Yahoo’s social networking website and micro-blogging platform Tumblr honored Houghton Library’s blog as one of its "New and Notable Blogs of 2013." Houghton Library is the primary repository for rare books and manuscripts at Harvard University and is part of the Harvard College Library within the Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Its blog launched in June and displays digitized images from the library’s collection. Houghton’s blog is joined by 19 other honorees that include the White House, National Geographic and Financial Times. Read the full story.
