- We do not regularly collect foreign language publications or materials in theoretical political science and economics, law, history or city regional planning.

- 54,000 monographs; 1,800 serial titles
- Expanded description of collection
- The collections cover issues confronting government today: international affairs, social policy, the economy, national security, the environment, and the electoral process with emphasis on public policy and management in the public and nonprofit sectors. Of particular interest is our hard copy collection of Kennedy School working papers, current journals, and statistical publications of the United States, the OECD,International Monetary Fund, and other intergovernmental organizations. Not a library of record, we rely heavily upon research depth in other Harvard libraries.

- ILL Lending Policy
- Internal ILL Policy:(HARVARD)
- The HKS Library provides interlibrary loan services to other Harvard libraries for all Harvard faculty and staff. Please contact your main library with your request. Books are loaned through the interlibrary system for extended periods with renewal possible thorough the patron's Hollis account. Photocopies of non-circulating journal articles will be provided.
- External ILL Policy: (NON-HARVARD)

- ILL Borrowing Policy
- We borrow from other libraries for HKS affiliates only.
- For HKS faculty and staff, we borrow from libraries outside of Harvard and certain libraries within the University (Widener, Law, Design, Gutman, Baker, Countway, Divinity) For students, we will borrow materials not owned by Harvard from other collections outside the university. For books owned by the the university students are only able to request books from Countway Library at the Medical School. If a book is owned by any other Harvard Library then they will have to go to that library to obtain it.
