Holdings Description:Summary description of collection: Primarily for the use of Celtic Department faculty and students. Contains over 1,200 volumes on Celtic languages and literatures. Most of the collection is duplicated in the Widener stacks. MATERIALS NOT HELD:Many periodicals; most manuscripts, facsimiles. Size of collection: over 1,200 books and periodicals Expanded description of collection: The emphasis of the collection is on reference works on Celtic languages and literatures, i.e. dictionaries, grammars, critical editions of texts and standard secondary works. There are also a number of works in the ancillary disciplines of Celtic history, archaeology and folklore and Indo-European philology. The library has active subscriptions to some of the major periodicals in the field and holdings of several non-current serials. There are a few manuscript facsimiles and a small collection of articles and off-prints from books and periodicals not held by the Robinson Room.
