Items marked "Reserve" circulate overnight only.
Journals and other periodical publications do not circulate.

| Holdings Description: | Summary description of collection: Selected books and periodicals in support of current research in experimental and theoretical physics.
MATERIALS NOT HELD:Applied physics, biophysics, astrophysics, chemical physics, and geophysics.
Size of collection: 13,200 monographs, including departmental PhD theses; 90 active serials titles; and 500 videorecordings (DVD and VHS).
Expanded description of collection: The library collects collects materials in all aspects of theoretical and experimental physics, such as atomic, molecular, and optical physics; nuclear and particle physics; physics of solids and fluids, mathematical and statistical physics; quantum mechanics; and relativity. Copies of departmental theses, as well as a small collection of videorecordinigs
(graduate courses, special lectures, etc.) are also available. |

Borrowing:
If an item (either book of journal article) is not available at PRL or any of the Cambridge Campus Harvard libraries, we will order it from elsewhere, free of charge. This service is only offered to members of the Physics Department.
