| Circulation Policy: | 80% of our collection circulates. Atlases, reference
materials and some specific monographs do not circulate
but we will photocopy any necessary pages from those items. Loan
period is two weeks.

| Holdings Description: | Summary description of collection: A comprehensive collection of monographs, journals, newsletters, and bibliographies in the areas of primatology and primate biology. There is basic coverage of veterinary, laboratory animal, and biomedical research material.
Expanded Description of Collection: We have a selection of specialized materials relevant to the various research disciplines at NEPRC including Behavioral Biology, Comparative Pathology, Immunology, Microbiology, Neurochemistry, and Tumor Virology with a strong emphasis on AIDS, infectious diseases and neuroscience.
Size of collection: 12,000 volumes ; 150 active serials titles; 30 VHS videotapes

| Services: | Internal ILL Policy:
HARVARD: The Library will lend all circulating materials and will provide photocopies to any Harvard Library without charge. Materials are loaned for two weeks and can be renewed. All materials are subject to immediate recall. ALA forms, phone, fax and DOCLINE requests are accepted. Call (508) 624-8078
External ILL Policy:
NON-HARVARD:The Library lends all circulating materials to any library outside of Harvard that provides an acceptable form of request (see above). Loans are free to affiliates; charges to non-affiliates vary. Call for information.
ILL Borrowing Policy:
BORROWING: The Library will borrow materials within the scope of the collection for Primate Center researchers. There is no limit to the number of requests and there is no cost to the patron in most cases.

| Directions: | From Massachusetts Turnpike, take Exit 12W to Marlborough, enter Route 9 heading West stay in the right-hand lane. After passing the Sheraton Hotel, turn right at traffic light onto California Ave. Continue over railroad tracks and turn left onto New York Avenue - at end turn right onto Route 30 (Pleasant Street) going east for .5 miles. Take a left onto Pine Hill Road and continue approximately 1.7 miles to Parmenter Road. Turn left on Parmenter Road for another .6 miles to the New England Regional Primate Research Center ENTRANCE AND SIGN on the left. The sign reads 'HARVARD UNIVERSITY SOUTHBOROUGH CAMPUS". Follow driveway to the end and enter the administration building. There is access for persons with disabilities. |
