Take Note: Tom Dodson, Richard Lesage, Mark Shelton

Tom Dodson, program coordinator for the Office for Scholarly Communication, served as executive editor of Best Indie Lit New England (BILiNE), an anthology that maps New England’s fringe literary terrain. A release party will be held on April 6. For more information about the book and other related events, go here. Dodson is the founding editor of Printer’s Devil Review, and his short story “Creek People” appears in the current issue of The Beloit Fiction Journal. He joined Harvard in 2008 from Tufts University where he was a reference librarian. Previous to that, Dodson served as a special programs officer for the Supreme Court of Ohio. He has an MSLIS from Kent State University and an MA from Ohio State University.

 

Richard Lesage, manager of the Monographic Acquisitions and Copy Cataloging (Africa, Asia and Pacific) Unit in Information and Technical Services, accepted the position of Librarian for South and Southeast Asia in Widener’s Collection Development Department. His official start date is March 18, 2013. Lesage holds BAs in philosophy and theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, an MA in theology from Centre Sèvres—Facultés Jésuites de Paris and an MSLIS from Simmons College.

 


Mark Shelton, head of collection development for Gutman Library, served as content specialist and editorial advisor for Debating Issues in American Education, a 10-volume set recently published by Sage Publications. He was also a member of a four-person Advisory Board to the series editors. Previous to Harvard, Shelton was the Head of Library Systems and Media Services and the Physical Sciences Scholarly Resources Librarian at Brown University and the Head of the Mathematics Library, Physics Library and Geology Library at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
