Records Management Announces New GRS iSite
Records Management Services, a unit of the Harvard University Archives, is pleased to announce the launch of the new Harvard University Archives website, archives.harvard.edu. The site has new features such as advice on how to start managing your records and tips on managing electronic records.
The General Records Schedule (GRS) is still accessible at http://grs.harvard.edu and now also through the new Harvard Library portal page for University Records Management at http://library.harvard.edu/university-records-management. The GRS details Harvard’s policy on how long to keep different types of records, and whether to send records to an archive or destroy them when they are no longer needed.
Transitioning to the iSite has allowed us to improve and standardize navigation and our search function. The GRS is now pin-protected, which will enable access for University employees working off site or away from the Harvard computer system.
We hope that you find the new website and iSite to be an improvement. We welcome your feedback at: archives_rmsharvard [dot] edu (subject: GRS%20feedback) .
